Responsibilities
Tasks
- Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work.
- Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, traffic studies, environmental impact studies, and other investigations.
- Conduct field services for civil works.
- Analyze survey and field data and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with clients and the engineering team to determine project requirements.
- Develop construction specifications and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Establish and monitor construction schedules.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate building materials.
- Review and approve survey and civil design work.
- Monitor and address environmental quality concerns.
- Plan and design major civil projects.
- Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
